In Memory

Kenneth Williams

Kenneth Williams

It saddens me to have to report that Kenny passed away Saturday, November 7, 2021.  Kenny and I were friends since we were 10 years old. I am happy that he was at our 55th Reunion and I hope many of you got to speak to him there.  I will post obituary when it becomes available.  Keep Kenny's family in your thoughts and prayers.

“In the blink of an eye everything can change.  So, forgive often and love with all your heart.  You may never have that chance again”.

Kenny was taken from us unexpectedly on Saturday, November 6, 2021. He will be cherished and always loved by his wife of 34 years, Amy.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wesley and Ann Williams; and nephews, Jake and Brad.  He leaves behind 2 children, Kevin and Keri; sisters, Judy (Johnny) and Patsy (Bob); 4 grandchildren; 2 nephews; a niece; and a host of wonderful friends including special family friend, Wynn; and last, but not least, his beloved “Inky”.

After graduating from Hermitage High School in 1965, he served in the Air Force for 4 years.  Kenny retired from IBEW Local 666 with 40 years of service, was an avid fisherman, lover of traveling and snorkeling, and always looked forward to seeing the Tuesday “Burger Night” gang.  Anyone who was close to Kenny knows he could fix and build anything, tell you the name of an old song and who sung it and not to try and reach him between 1:00 – 2:00 because “Days of Our Lives” was on TV.

His passing has created a void that will be impossible to fill.  A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.  Memorial contributions are welcome to the New Kent Humane Society:  PO Box 104, Providence Forge VA 23140 or visit their website at http://www.newkenthumane.org and click the “donate” button.

I am so very sad about Kenny! I can't really believe he is gone. I talked to him at the reunion and I am so glad I got that blessing. He lived at the lower end of my street. He was so ssuch a sweet and kind friend. We had many funny, happy memories of Va.beach! I will miss him!

Kenny and I were in Mrs. Troutman's class together in the first grade. He has a great laugh and shining smile. We talked at the reunion and he seemed perfectly fine. Life threw everyone a big curveball for him to be gone so soon after the party.
