BARNES, William "Bill" Leslie Jr., was called to the Lord on February 28, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Portia; and sister, Bonnie. He patiently awaits his loving wife, Elizabeth; his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Richard; and grandsons, Nevin and Gavin. His career with Verizon lasted 38 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in his youth, but served the family he loved all the days of his life. Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 5, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Westhampton Memorial Park.
