Ray Edwards

JENKINS, Kent L., 65 of Brandon, Florida and formerly of Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond L. and Elizabeth Jenkins and his brother, Ray (Liz). He is survived by his wife, Claudine Wills Jenkins, sons, Worth (Shelbie), Curtis (Susan), daughters, Linda and fiancA, Joe Hoehn, Wendy Cummings (Scott). He is survived by five granddaughters, three grandsons and his sister, Sarah Jenkins. He is a member of St. Andrews' United Methodist Church and was a long time member of several barbershop choruses and quartets in Virginia and Florida. He was employed in Industrial Sales since the age of 19. His memorial and Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church at 6:00 p.m., Tampa, FL. Also, a graveside service will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, Virginia. Flowers would be appreciated, but the family has requested that donations be made to Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Florida. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221. Bonnie Peatross

Kent was my first real date to one of the dances at school.  I think it was a Prom.  I remember the dress I wore.  Now I thought I looked like the dorky kid  was. But Kent was a sweet fun date.  He was a great guy.

Gerald Hagen

Kent was a crazy great guy.  I remember his '56 Chevy traveling on Hermitage road at the posted speed limit of 35 mph.    He will be missed.  Gerald Hagen
