My cousin and friend, Edith Mae Napier Robinson, went to her heavenly home on Christmas night. Funeral will be Friday January 3, visitation 10:30-11:30, funeral at 11:30. I think at Bliley’s staples mill.
Edith Mae Napier Robinson went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2024, at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Irma Napier; and her husband of fifty-two years, Curtis Robinson. She is survived by her daughter Mandi Mulholland (Jon); three grandchildren, Emma and Justin Mulholland, and Lauren Gregory (Zach); her sister, Linda Milam (Mike); nephews, Ben (Victoria), Nick (Hart); niece, Katelyn Milam; as well as great nieces and nephews, Wesley, Cora, Halle, and Luke Milam.
Edith was a lifetime member of North Run Baptist Church. Professionally, she remained at the same job for over fifty years at Hankins and Johann where she was a self-described jack of all trades.
Edith Mae loved her family and was a rock star grandmother. Over the years she helped in many ways as the children were growing up. While not a pushover, she spoiled them and made them a top priority. Any chance she could spend with them she took and enjoyed. Edith Mae loved to shop with her daughter and granddaughters and could often be found at the mall or outlets. She enjoyed reading books, doing puzzles, watching soap operas, Hallmark movies and HGTV. Her favorite place on Earth was Walt Disney World. It was where she had a spring in her step and could find her inner child. Any chance to go and visit Mickey Mouse she welcomed. It was her happy place!
In her later years she was the primary caregiver of her husband and worked hard to ensure they kept an independent lifestyle. Her positive attitude, determination, and faith never wavered during her battle with breast cancer. Dr. Kumar and the staff at Virginia Cancer Institute were always kind and patient as she underwent treatment and tests. Their care, concern, and positive attitude were deeply appreciated by her and her family.
Edith Mae's faith never wavered, and she felt the Lord was with her each day. That faith brought her comfort and peace in her final days. What a gift to know she rejoiced with Jesus on his birthday. Oh, what a party that must have been!
Family and friends will be received at Bliley Funeral Home at 8510 Staples Mill Road on January 3, 2024 from 10:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m., the funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. with an interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to North Run Baptist Prekindergarten.
