Dianne Flora Poteat Sherrod, of Ashland, died Saturday, October 11, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Roland B. Sherrod Sr.; four children, Mary Helen Sherrod of Ashland, Roland H. Sherrod Jr. and daughter-in-law, Leann, of Richmond, Jonathan Dean Sherrod and Michael Hart Sherrod of Ashland; her parents, Helen and Melvin Poteat of Richmond; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and William O'Connell of Virginia Beach, Lois and Glenn Randolph of Charlotte, N.C. Mrs. Sherrod was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Jerry Dean Poteat.
