MARTIN, Betty Reams, 70, of North Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord, after fighting Parkinson's disease, on August 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by parents, Bernice W. and William C. Matthews. She is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Martin; three daughters, Donna Jones, Karen Prosise-Chaney (Mark) and Janet Lilly; grandchildren, Ashley (Curtis), Michael, William, Sean, Ciara, Bryer, Britney and Shayne; great-grandchildren, Connor, Mila, Brecken and Declan; stepchildren, Chrissy and Tim (Tina); stepgrandchildren, Krista (Brent), Samantha (Jacob), Logan and Landon; and stepgreat-granchild, Weston. She loved to sew, crochet and enjoy family gatherings. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Reams Chapter 17. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where a funeral ceremony will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bon Secours Community Hospice, 1133 Old Bon Air Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235.
