Deeply saddened to hear about Bill. He and I were good friends in school. He taught me how to wrestle and we spent one summer clearing lots of trees because Bill had a chain saw and I was crazy enough to pull on a rope to direct where they would fall before scrambling out of the way.  My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Sad day. Hug your love ones a little extra tight tonight. Life is so precious. I remember the lovely picture that Billy recently posted of his family. I shared it with mine and commented how happy everyone appeared and what a wonderful life he must be living with such a loving family. Remember Billy being bigger than life in my eyes and one that almost seemed indestructible. Please pass my condolences along to his family.

STINSON, William "Bill" L., of Henrico, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Stinson; his sister, Alma Reinke; and his parents, Lee and Claudine Stinson. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Stinson; and daughters, Karen Stinson and Debra Reynolds (Charles); two grandchildren, Cayleigh and Jaden Reynolds; brother-in-law, Dick Reinke; sister-in-law, Judy Brown; a nephew and three nieces. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26 at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 27 at Bliley's with a burial service to follow at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Bill worked as a movie projectionist in Richmond followed by a long career as an independent school equipment installer specializing in lockers. Bill was involved in both Boy and Girl Scouts of America and volunteered with WEAG Missions and Habitat for Humanity. Bill's joy and gift was being the neighborhood "handyman," always willing to lend his expertise on a project. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lamb's Basket (www.lambsbasket.org) or P.O. Box 3064, Henrico, Va. 23228 or a charity of your choosing.
