Judy Lawrence, age 75, passed peacefully into Eternal Life with God on Monday, May 29, 2023 at her home in Jasper, Georgia. Judy was born July 8, 1947 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Max T. Jensen and Dorothy L. Jensen.

Judy was known for her dry, witty sense of humor. Her amusement and joy were obvious when her contagious laugh echoed throughout the entire room. She loved to love people, touching many lives with her big heart and giving nature in ways big and small, every day. She was driven by a passion to help others and believed the world could always use one more kind-hearted person. Her life was a reflection and living example of her love for the Lord and the Bible verse, "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." - Ephesians 4:32

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Max T. Jensen and Dorothy L. Jensen of Richmond, VA; and former husband, Capt. Phillips A. Ammons of Jasper, GA.

Judy is survived by husband, Steve W. Lawrence, Sr. of Jasper, GA; her "inherited" children whom she loved as her own, Douglass (Kristin) Ammons of Shelby Forest, TN, Steve (Lisa) Lawrence, Jr. of Jasper, GA and Melissa (Dustin) Seabolt of Macon, GA; 7 adoring grandchildren: Katelyn (Adam) Barnett, Ellery Ammons, Cadence and Marley Seabolt & Clara, Aria and Wyatt Lawrence; twin sister, Jean Hicks of Richmond, VA; brothers, Pete (Barbara) Jensen of Richmond, VA and David (Kitty) Jensen of Pinehurst, NC; special friend, Kelly Whitmore; and many extended and beloved family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Jasper United Methodist Church on July 8, 2023 at 2:00pm with Rev. Greg Meadows officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pioneers, a missions organization spreading the gospel across the globe. To donate, please visit pioneers.org/donate , click on "Support a Missionary."
