Eddie was also an avid sports fan, following the Oakland A's, Washington Commanders, and of course in the stands at University of Richmond Spider's basketball games alongside his wife. Eddie acquired a lifelong love of fishing from his father that he continued with his own son and grandsons, evident from the many trips down to Cape Hatteras.
He had a passion and a tremendous gift for fixing cars, most proud of his CJ-7s, Blazer, and red Firebird. Both while working and driving around, he was often heard before seen with his propensity to blast classic rock. He got into running midlife, working his way up to coaching several Richmond Half Marathon training teams. He loved history, traveling with his wife, and tinkering in his garage.
The family will receive visitors on December 12th, 5-7pm, at Bliley's Funeral Home, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, Va.
