He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Novak and Steve Novak; his sister Christine McIlwee; his grandparents, Ida and Cleveland Thomas; his great-niece Sara Bruehl; and his great-nephew Michael Lamb.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Novak, Jennifer Toms (Tracy) and Julie Rodriguez (Simon); his grandchildren, Scott, Savannah Toms, Chante Truehart, Khalid (Karisma), Kaden Peters, Manny and Jesenia Cruz; his great grandchild Nova Thomas; and his sister Margaret Lamb.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nelson Funeral Home (412 S Washington Hwy, Ashland, VA 23005). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
