After graduating from HHS Barbara attended Radford College, obtaining a BS in Education. She taught French and German in Suffolk County and later in Loudon County, VA. Following a career change to retail store management Barbara moved to Charlottesville, VA. In 1977 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, returned to Richmond, and succumbed to the disease on Sep. 29, 1979, just before her 32nd birthday. I miss her everyday.
