Sue (HHS-66) Halsey Cox

Several decades as an executive assistant to corporate executives at Richmond's best Fortune 500 companies - Media General, Heilig-Meyers, Universal Tobacco and Circuit City. Miss Henrico County 1965 and Miss Richmond 1967. I cut red ribbons to open businesses and rode in the first car on I-64 West from the Boulevard (I-95) to Short Pump! Continue my volunteer work with the Miss America Scholarship Organization for over 40 years as an interview specialist helping young women improve their interview skills. Married Bob Grubbs, 1964 graduate of Douglas Freeman High School and Ken Grubbs' brother for 22 years, and now married to Buddy Cox, 1969 graduate of Lee-Davis for 23 years. I enjoy my part time work with senior ladies and also keeping Buddy healthy and happy to continue working full time until 70 yrs. old.

I enjoyed high school years and chaired many class reunions for my class of 1966. I worked in the school office the last class hour of the day my sophomore and junior years, and had an afternoon job away from school my senior year. Remember working old mimeograph machines for teachers making copies of tests and quizzes for their students. We even used carbon paper for typed copies of documents. Never heard of computers in those days.
